About V1Questions

Built by a pilot, for pilots.

V1Questions exists because type rating study deserved better.

The problem we solve

Type ratings are tough enough without bad study material slowing you down.

The old way

  • Dense FCOM chapters with no explanation
  • No context — just facts to memorise
  • Self-study with no way to check your understanding
  • Questions from unknown sources of dubious accuracy
  • You know the answer, but not the reason

The V1Questions way

  • FCOM-verified answers with a clear source
  • Plain English explanations built into every question
  • Real-world context a line pilot would recognise
  • Original questions written from the manual, not copied
  • Understand the why, not just the what

Who built this

The developer & instructor behind V1Questions

V1Questions was built by a single developer who is also an experienced ATPL instructor. The frustration of watching students struggle through type ratings with nothing but PDFs and highlighters was the motivation.

Every question is written and verified against the manufacturer's official FCOM — not copied from other banks, not guessed. If it's on V1Questions, it's accurate.

How we verify questions

Every question goes through the same three-step standard before it goes live.

Thoroughly verified

Every question is carefully checked against the FCOM before it goes live — accuracy is the only standard that matters.

FCOM verified

Every correct answer is checked word for word against the manufacturer's official FCOM. If it's in V1Questions, it's accurate.

Real world context

Explanations go beyond the answer to explain why — with practical context a line pilot would recognise from the flight deck.

What's coming

V1Questions launched with the Boeing 737 NG and MAX. The A320 and B777 are in development, with more types planned based on demand.

If you'd like to see a specific aircraft type, get in touch — we build what pilots actually need.
